As the name says this is a municipal site close to the surfing town of Peniche. It is huge but the amount of space available to touring vans is quite limited seemingly restricted to two gravelled areas. The remainder of the site is sand, not unlike a dune beach, some parts are very soft.

There are a number of facilities blocks and although they all in need of repair/refurbishment they were all clean. As is often the case in Portugal the toilets were without seats and paper, soap and hand dryers were not provided.

There is a shop a bar and a restaurant on site but we did not see or use them so can make no comment on them. We don’t know if there was laundry facilities.

It was, on the whole, a pleasant site that we would be happy to revisit.
